Our mission. Our passion.

The Studierendenwerk Stuttgart is responsible for the university locations of Stuttgart, Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Ludwigsburg, Esslingen and Göppingen and thus supports 15 universities. As an important contact point for around 57,000 students, we are committed to the interests and well-being of the students. Their support is our social mission as a public law institution, which we pursue with passion. Our dedicated team of 400 employees takes care of 5750 places to live, food and drink in our 18 canteens and cafeterias, university-related childcare in our 5 daycare centers, and the processing of BAföG applications. Valuable assistance for students is also provided by our legal counseling, social counseling and psychotherapeutic counseling.
 

The tasks in the Studierendenwerk are as varied as our range of services: whether at the food counter or in the cafeteria kitchen, in consulting, in purchasing or in one of our daycare centers - our employees have the most diverse qualifications. Due to our proximity to the colleges, the university and the students, we move in a lively and dynamic working environment. With our range of services, we contribute significantly to the attractiveness of the Stuttgart university region and support the students. Become part of the good cause!

With our headquarters in Stuttgart, we are located in one of the economically strongest and culturally most diverse regions in Germany. Here the sun shines on average 1,692 hours a year - which not only pleases the numerous winegrowers and fruit growers in the surrounding area. Our locations in Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg and Esslingen are mostly very centrally located and can all be reached by public transport. The Studierendenwerk also offers a generous subsidy of 25 euros for the Deutschland-JobTicket.
